For those who have limited time and wish to seize the occasion to get introduced to the Moroccan Sahara Desert, Marrakech 2 Days Desert Tour is ideal. This tour covers exploring the high Atlas Mountains, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. After discovering Ouarzazate your first step will be in the Moroccan Desert of course after passing the wonderful Draa Valley. The Sahara desert is inspiring at night with clean and clear air, stars that cover the whole sky. Hence you’ll enjoy a camel trekking and dinner in these small desert dunes of Morocco.

Itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

In the morning meet your driver in the hotel and leave Marrakech towards Zagora. On our way we will pass through the magnificent Tizi N’ichka Pass (2260 meters high) over the High Atlas Mountains and Berber Villages. During your trip from Marrakech, you’ll make many stops to marvel at these villages and valleys. A short visit and leisure time to explore the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage site) which backdates to the 11th century and the backdrop for various biblical movies. From here we continue to Ouarzazate where we will take our lunch, then after this short pause we will across Draa Valley and its huge palm grove, and from there you’ll begin to enter the desert. Upon arrival at Zagora we will have enough time to ride our camels while enjoying the sunset in the desert dunes. Finally dinner will be served under the shining stars while the locals entertain you with the drums sound. Feel free to choose your place where to sleep as it includes a night under the stars constellation or in berber nomadic tents.

Day 2

Zagora – Draâ Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

On the second day of Marrakech 2 Days Desert Tour, we will wake up at dawn to enjoy the unforgettable morning in the desert and watch the magnificent sunrise over the dunes. Then enjoy a nice breakfast and trek back to Zagora on camel to continue your tour. From here we depart to Ouarzazate passing again Draa valley the stunning greenery. After crossing many valleys and beautiful landscapes, we arrive to Ouarzazate take our lunch then visit the Kasbah of Taourirt or optionally the cinematographic center. In the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech crossing Tizi n’Tichka and making many stops along the way. Your tour finishes in Marrakech when your driver drops you off at tour accommodation.
